By Slugsie, on March 18th, 2009Conservative opposition MP Arkadiusz Czartoryski says Christians are being persecuted in the UK and has heralded the “end of British civilization” as we know it.
How exactly does that work? Given that most surveys still show that Christians (although there is a suggestion that many are just cultural Christians) are still in the majority in this country, how exactly are they being persecuted?
The fact is that they aren’t. Until recently us atheists, humanists, and freethinkers have generally kept quiet 
and not responded to the many many ways that religious institutions continually push themselves onto us all. Now that we’ve finally started to voice our opinions we get accused of being shrill, and persecuting the religious majority.
So, despite the fact that what they’re getting from us is but a shadow of what we have been putting up with from them for so long…
