Happy Chrimbo Dave. :)

Just remember, climate is not the same as weather. There is also a reason why I prefer the term Global Climate Change. Global Warming as a term is problematic because the climate predictions don't suggest that everywhere would get warmer. For instance an extreme prediction for us here in the UK would be a slow-down or even ceasing of the Atlantic 'conveyor' systems. That would quickly lead us to experience winters similar to the likes of Moscow!

Oh, and the only relation to atheism is how I arrived at my beliefs, but you already know that. :)

Ho ho ho, seems it's not just Christmas but it also seems to be Stating the Obvious season in Athiest land.

Its very hard to establish the true motives behind any activists.

The world does seem to be warming (on average) but last two winters seem a bit nippier here in the Northern hemisphere.

Humans may be contributing to the warming through our emissions of CO2 and other gases. I'm not a scientist either but common sense suggests that we are completely unimplicated.

Fossil fuels will run out if we keep using them.

It makes sense to reduce and then eliminate their use.

It also makes sense to develop and implement plans for sustainable use of all resources because if we don't they will run out too. While we are at it maybe smart to restrict, stop or even reverse human population growth as we use a lot of stuff.

Erm that's it - Merry Christmas!
