Just Typical

Typical isn’t it. I mentioned in my previous post how it seemsĀ no one talking about how removing our dependance on oil would be a good thing overall, and almost straight away I’m stumbling around the internet and happen upon this:

I\’m pleased to be the exception that proved your rule.

I find it amazing that there is so much misinformation being spewed out about climate change. Who couldn\’t be against reducing our dependence on foreign oil and reducing air and water pollution? It is almost like someone who is making a lot of money off of oil is bankrolling the protests. Ya think?

I’ve always disliked the term ‘Foreign Oil’, it seems to inherantly suggest that everything foreign is bad, and that any foreigners shouldn’t be trusted. Maybe I’m just mad enough to wish that all countries could just get along with each other and do away with the ‘them and us’ attitude.

But that aside, money (and power) do seem to drive some people over and above even simple survival.

Erm, at the risk of offending Iron Knee (sorry mate) I’d like to point out that its normally just Americans who refer to “foreign oil”.

The problem for them is not so much that it is in other countries, but that its actually owned by foreigners who sometimes shoot back when they go to take it from them.
